{"id":6389,"date":"2025-05-25T09:56:10","date_gmt":"2025-05-25T09:56:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www-2023.internet.uniroma2.it\/en\/?page_id=6389"},"modified":"2025-05-26T09:37:02","modified_gmt":"2025-05-26T09:37:02","slug":"admission-requirements","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www-2023.internet.uniroma2.it\/en\/admission-requirements\/","title":{"rendered":"Admission Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">To be admitted to the Master&#8217;s Degree Course in ICT and Internet Engineering, a candidate must possess a<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Bachelor\u2019s Degree or an equivalent foreign qualification recognized according to current regulations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The enrolment into the Master\u2019s Degree Course of Study in ICT and Internet Engineering requires the<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">following access criteria:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"p1\">Curricular requisites<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Personal and adequate initial background<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Curricular requisites<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A three-year-Bachelor\u2019s Degree in L-8 class (Information Engineering) or in L-9 class (Industrial Engineering) and a minimum number of credits (ECTS\/CFU) in the following Scientific Disciplinary Sectors (SSD):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">at least 24 ECTS (CFU) within\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">MAT\/02 Algebra<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">MAT\/03 Geometry<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">MAT\/05 Mathematical Analysis or MAT\/06 Probability and Mathematical Statistics or MAT\/08 Numerical Analysis or MAT\/09 Operative Research (MATH-02\/A Algebra<\/li>\n<li>MATH-02\/B Geometry<\/li>\n<li>MATH-03\/A Mathematical Analysis<\/li>\n<li>MATH-03\/B Probability and Mathematical Statistics<\/li>\n<li>MATH-05\/A Numerical Analysis<\/li>\n<li>MATH-06\/A Operative Research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>at least 12 ECTS (CFU) within:\n<ul>\n<li>FIS\/01 Experimental Physics<\/li>\n<li>FIS\/03 Material Physics<\/li>\n<li>FIS\/04 Nuclear and Subnuclear Physics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>at least 9 ECTS within\n<ul>\n<li>ING-INF\/03 Telecommunications;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>at least 9 ECTS within\n<ul>\n<li>ING-INF\/01 Electronics<\/li>\n<li>ING-INF\/02 Elctromagnetic Fields<\/li>\n<li>ING-INF\/05 Information Processing Systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">For all the international Courses which do not have a direct correspondence to the above mentioned Scientific Disciplinary Sectors, the evaluation will be dealt with by the Degree Programme Committee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In the event that the Degree Programme Committee notices that the curriculum does not meet the required requisites, students will be asked to complete their curriculum in term of credits (ECTS\/CTU) which will be assigned by the Degree Programme Committee, to enrol in the Master\u2019s Degree Course in ICT and Internet Engineering.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Personal and adequate initial background<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">After verifying the possession of the curricular requisites, an assessment of the personal and initial background of candidates will take place. It is an <strong>interview<\/strong> to assess the entry level of students. The Coordinator or a delegate and the Didactic Committee assess if the level of the candidates is adequate. The interview is about the following subjects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Mathematical Analysis: functions, series of numbers, series of functions;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Geometry: matrices, vectorial spaces, linear systems;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Physics: kinematics e dynamics of the material point, work and energy, electromagnetism;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Telecommunications: Information transmission and Telecommunications network;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Information Processing Systems: fundamentals and electronic calculators programming techniques;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Electronics: fundamentals of analogue electronics;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Electromagnetic Fields: electromagnetic field propagation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">Since the Master\u2019s Degree Course is taught in English, candidates must posses a good English language proficiency level (<strong>B2 according to the QCER<\/strong>), producing a valid certification or to be tested when talking to the Coordinator during the interview.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Students whose Bachelor\u2019s Degree has:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">for Italian students, the weighted average of exam marks higher than the <strong>24,5\/30 <\/strong>(see Department of Electronics Engineering minutes in 19\/03\/2025)<\/li>\n<li>for international students, a cumulative GPA greater than <strong>85%<\/strong> and when cumulative GPA is not available a level of at least <strong>Good<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>are exempt from the assessment of the personal and initial background, but not from the assessment of their English language proficiency level.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">All the enrolment procedure, the deadlines and the tuitions fees, are available in the Student Guidebook and at the Students Office.
